Lands of Larteau

Located on the edge of the Dordogne, south of Libourne, in Arveyres, the Larteau vineyard covers an area of 16.6 hectares, 12.18 of which are planted with vines.

Château Larteau has got a beautiful terroir of clay on deep gravel, the ideal soil to reveal the silky fabric and fullness of the great Merlots.

The average age of the vines is 25 years and the average density is 5,500 vines/hectares.

The bright, peaceful and relaxing environment is in harmony with the south / south west exposure of the vine plots.

The vines of Château Larteau produce a wine with expressive aromas, with a generous, unctuous mouth carried by an elegant length.

Respect for plants

We are informed witnesses of the climate change currently underway. It is our mission to observe the behavior of plants in the face of these changes and to adapt our farming practices. The cultivation of the vineyard is done with respect for the environment with the abolition of weedkillers, precise mechanical work of the soil and grassing every other row. We are labeled High Environmental Value.
